Chicago Tardis was last weekend, and seeing now that I am procrastinating a paper I thought some pictures should be posted! It was an absolute amazing weekend and cannot wait until next year!

Found this top on Ebay for under $20 including shipping! (Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE Ebay?) I already had the pants and boots (I used them for a Gwen cosplay at Gally. I know the arms should be black and hos some funky cross tying action (GEGE)and it is lacking the black belting detail which I plan to add. Not sure if you can see ( Read more... )

I've been trying to piece together a Romana I, "Stones of Blood" cosplay for a couple of months now and have spent a ridiculous amount of time staring at screen caps and comparing them to skirts and blouses found on various internet sites....which is, of course, the bulk of any cosplaying endeavor. XD

Since several of us seem to be doing the same costume, I thought I'd share my own just-finished shirt! The rest of this costume can be pulled together fairly simply from off-the-rack pieces, but the shirt for Romana's Stone of Blood is a bit tricky.

I ranted about issues I was having with dyeing fabric several days ago. I took another stab at it and was thrilled with the results!. The Dharma reactive Red Wine dye was perfect paired with a white rayon blouse. It is hard to see in the photo, but the top does have the ties strings at the neck.

EDIT: update on Red Boots

Hello!

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a boot dye and also a boot polish?
